Review: Emma Hardie Amazing Face Moringa Cleansing Balm...

I caved. After reading numerous reviews about this cleanser, I had to try it out so when I saw FeelUnique had put it in their Christmas sale I saw it as my perfect opportunity because lets face it everybody loves a bit of discount.
The Moringa Cleansing Balm is a thick, silky smooth cream that melts instantly into your skin with the slightest massage ensuring there's no aggressive rubbing on the skin. I've found the balm to be immensely hydrating leaving my skin feeling super soft and refreshed.

Being a complete lover and addict of Liz Earl's 'Cleanse and Polish' I'm still using this to remove my full face of make-up and have been using this product 4 times a week (the nights I don't use my Clarisonic) after washing my make-up off with 'Cleanse and Polish' to ensure my skin is fully cleansed.

Since I purchased this product around 2 weeks ago, I can already see a difference in the condition of my skin. The balm has helped reduce the amount of dry skin I have on my nose, has reduced the appearance of my pores, the bumps under my skin and has even helped calm my breakouts (hallelujah). As cliched as it sounds, it's literally like magic in a tub.
This balm is going to last me a very long time as you only need the smallest amount to cleanse your face. Unfortunately, I didn't receive a Emma Hardie Wash Cloth with this but have found a standard face flannel works well; to ensure the product is beneficial, I wouldn't recommend using a muslin cloth as it hasn't got as much grip to it.

If like myself, you suffer from sensitive skin then this cleansing balm is perfect for you as it doesn't contain any harsh ingredients. This product retails for around £34 and although this isn't cheap, it isn't that much when you think about how long it will last and the quality of the product.

I will without a doubt be repurchasing this product when I need to.

Have you tried Emma Hardie Moringa Cleansing Balm before and what did you think?

The Liebster Award...

I've been nominated for 'The Liebster Award' by the lovely bloggers Zoe and Natalie.

Up until receiving these two nominations I'd never actually heard of this award; this award is designed to help promote bloggers that have under 200 followers and who you think deserves more recognition.

I think this is such a lovely to be nominated for as the term 'liebster' is German for dearest, lovely and valued.

The rules are as follows:
1. Mention the person who nominated you with a link.
2. Answer the 11 questions set by the person that nominated you.
3. Nominate 11 other bloggers with less than 200 followers.
4. Create a new set of 11 questions for your nominees to answer.

As I have been nominated by two bloggers, rather than making this an extremely long post of 22 questions, I have chosen a selection suggested from both Zoe and Natalie.

Q1//What is your favourite range of make up brushes?
My favourite range of make up brushes is without a doubt Real Techniques; they really are worth the hype and leave your make up looking flawless. I also love MAC brushes for my eyes especially the infamous 217. However, I really want to try some Sigma and Zoeva brushes.
Q2//What is your least favourite beauty related scent?
I hate anything that smells like Lavender - it makes me feel physically ill.
Q3//What make-up technique do you find the hardest?
I am yet to perfect the winged eyeliner look - how beauty bloggers make it look so effortless is beyond me. They look like Audrey Hepburn whilst I look like a Panda!
Q4//What is at the top of your beauty wishlist at the moment?
I really want to try a beauty blender because I've heard so many good things about them and watched so many tutorials where the make up looks amazing after using one.
Q5//What is your favourite range of shower/bath products?
Easy..Soap & Glory!
Q6//What is your current favourite perfume that you wear everyday?
Ralph Lauren Big Pony Collection 2 - I love this perfume; it has a fruity and floral oriental scent which is very youthful.
Q7//What is your favourite beauty/fashion magazine?
There's too many to choose only one! But my most purchased are Company, Cosmopolitan and Elle.
Q8//What is your favourite item from Lush?
Without a doubt the Bubblegum Lip Scrub (yummy!)
Q9//What is your favourite piece of jewellery that you wear everyday?
Either my Vivienne Westwood earrings or my Tiffany Heart bracelet.
Q10//What is an interesting fact you know?
99% of Louis Vuitton merchandise currently circulating the world is fake and at the end of each year LV burn all of their left over seasonal stock.
Q11//Who is your favourite beauty blogger/one you read the most?
Vivianna from Vivianna Does Make Up

My Nominees (based on Bloglovin followers):
Fiona - girlwithlipstick.blogspot.co.uk

Questions for my Nominees:
Q1. Which beauty blogger do you look to for reviews of the latest products?
Q2. What is your staple piece in your wardrobe?
Q3. Do you prefer to wear neutral colours on your eyes or bold, bright colours?
Q4. What's your haircare savior?
Q5. What are your holy grail beauty products?
Q6. Where is your favourite place to shop?
Q7.  Which fashion week would you most like to go to (New York, Paris, London or Milan)?
Q8. If you could only use one make up item for the rest of your life what would it be?
Q9. Who is your style icon (they don't have to be a celeb!)?
Q10. What is your favourite high-end and drugstore beauty brand?
Q11. If you could invent any miracle beauty product suited perfectly for you, what would it be?

Thank you to the girls who nominated me and to those I have nominated please let me know when you have answered, I'd love to read your answers.

Winter Warmers...

For today's post I have put together a little compilation of coats which I think are gorgeous for the impending Winter.

I fell in love with this coat after seeing it on Victoria from In The Frow. It's a gorgeous camel colour which is perfect to see you through the Winter months and into Spring. Although this is quite costly, I imagine it to be extremely good quality and perfect to bring out year after year.

Although this jacket doesn't look very thick, I think it would be perfect for winter when paired with a scarf -tartan would look great to add a burst of colour - and would make any outfit look stylish.

It was the colour of this coat that immediately caught my attention. This beautiful mint green is stunning to see you through Winter and Spring and will add a touch of girlyness to any outfit. I am a huge lover of mint green so if I was to purchase any coat from this list it would without a doubt be this one and since I saw it on the beautiful Kate from gh0stparties I may have to take the plunge.

To me, a leather jacket is an essential item in any wardrobe for anytime of the year. I absolutely love this one from Miss Selfridge and luckily for me, my parents bought me this for Christmas as mine was looking a bit shabby.

Which one of these coats would you be most likely to purchase?

Nails of the Week: Nails Inc Belvedere Road...

This weeks nails come in the form of Nails Inc 'Belvedere Road'*.

I received this nail polish in a Nails Inc set named 'The Statement Collection' and rightly so because this definitely makes a statement! The colour is a gorgeous, vibrant, metallic purple (unfortunately the picture doesn't do it justice); imagine a Cadbury's chocolate purple when the packaging used to be a shiny foil and not a matte. GORGEOUS.

I love wearing purple on my nails during the winter months but the added shine of this polish ensures it isn't overly gothic, although I am partial to a deep purpley black.

Review: Urban Decay Naked 3 Palette..

Arriving home from sixth form, I was finally greeted with this beauty - after trying to get my hands on it since it launched, I couldn't wait to try it out.
When I heard that Naked 3 was going to be launching I couldn't wait to see how Urban Decay were going to give u 12 completely new neutral shades and one thing for sure is they didn't fail. Naked 1 was very warm and gold toned whilst Naked 2  was also quite warm but with more taupe shades; however, this time round Urban Decay have given us an array of rose-gold hues. The shades in this palette range from 'gorgeous pearls to glimmering metallics' and are perfect for day to night wear.

The Naked 3 comes in the same case as the Naked 2 ensuring its sturdy enough to carry around with you - perfect for travelling. It also comes with a double-ended Good Karma Shadow & Blending Brush and an Eyeshadow Primer Potion sampler of all 4 of the UD primers giving you the perfect opportunity to try before you buy.
Strange - Neutral pale pink (perfect for brow bone highlight)
Dust - Shimmery metallic pink
Burnout - Peachy pink
Limit - Dusty rose pink
Buzz - Deep metallic rose
Trick - Copper with subtle pink hues
Nooner - Pinky-brown matte (perfect for crease)
Liar - Metallic taupe
Factory - Brown satin
Mugshot - Metallic taupe
Darkside - Dark taupe
Blackheart - Deep smokey black with red highlights

This palette is available from most Urban Decay stockists for £37 which is quite reasonable for what you get.

If you already have the Naked 1 and 2, you may not need this palette but then again no girl can have too many eyeshadow palettes!

Nails of the Week: OPI Kiss Me on my Tulips & w7 Pink Feathers...

As an avid fan of nail polish (I could probably give Boots a run for their money with my collection) I have decided that this year I'm going to start and post my weekly nails as I'm always changing them.
I am a huge fan of OPI nail polish and love this shade in 'Kiss Me on my Tulips'.

As its the first full week of a new year I decided to opt for something fun and bright to make me feel optimistic about going back to sixth form and to cheer me up on those dreaded, dark early mornings. Is it just me who loves winter up until the point Christmas is over and then immediately prays for it to be summer?

For an added touch I applied w7's 'Pink Feathers' to create an accent nail; this is the first w7 polish I have used but I will definitely look out for more to try in the future.

What colour nails makes you feel happier during the winter months?

2013 Beauty Favourites...

I can't believe it's 2014 already, I swear I blinked and 2013 was over! Since I started reading blogs, one thing I have discovered about most bloggers is that a new year means one thing and one thing only, reminiscing on your favourite beauty products from the previous year. So here are my favourite beauty products of 2013...
Seche Vite Topcoat // I received this as a Christmas present last year and I haven't used another topcoat since. It is absolutely amazing and leaves your nails with that salon finish you want without the actual trek to the salon. As well as leaving your nails with a brilliant shine, it also prolongs the lasting time of the nail polish beneath. I received 3 bottles of this and they lasted me the entire year which is amazing considering I paint my nails at least once or twice a week so I would definitely recommend you purchasing this if you want gorgeous looking nails.

Maybelline Gel Eyeliner // It was only in September that I actually started wearing eyeliner on my upper eyelid. I decided I wanted to use it for my 18th birthday make-up look and after reading many rave reviews about this product, I decided I'd give it ago. It was love as first use, it glided on like a dream and you could barely tell that it was my first time lining my lid (I was expecting some sort of zigzag line to occur but nope, perfectly straight). I've used this product ever since and can see why so many people were obsessing over it.

Collection Concealer // This is probably the most talked about concealer in the world of blogging and that's because its simply the best one out there (or so I believe). For less than £5 it is incredible at hiding unsightly dark circles under your eyes and those unwanted blemishes which suddenly occur out of nowhere on a day you could really do without them. I've probably used about 4/5 tubes of this throughout 2013 and I'm  positive I'll be using many more this year.

Dainty Doll Blusher (You Are My Sunshine) // I'd never used Dainty Doll products before but when I heard about them selling very cheaply on Fragrance Direct I thought I would give a couple a try. I opted to try this blusher and another one named Paper Roses. I absolutely loved using this blusher throughout the summer of 2013 as it gave my cheeks a lovely golden shimmer which wasn't overpowering. Unfortunately, I believe this product has now discontinued but I have heard that it is very similar to Nars 'Orgasm' which is more of a high brand product or if you'd like a cheaper option Sleeks 'Rose Gold' is supposed to be good.
Classics Nail Polish Remover // I bet your wondering "How can a nail polish remover be a favourite product? What's so exciting about a nail polish remover?" Well let me tell you, this stuff is amazing! I picked it up in the £1 shop one day and haven't used anything else since it removes nail polish in a fraction of the time my old one used to and what's even more amazing is it removes glitter nail polish pretty quickly too!

John Frieda Full Repair Conditioner // John Frieda haircare products are probably one of my favourites on the market; they're not too expensive and offer great results. I adore this conditioner as it leaves my hair feeling silky smooth and I never have trouble with knots after I've washed it which can be a nightmare due to the length of my hair.

Real Techniques Buffing Brush // For Christmas 2012 I received the RT Core Collection, Eye Brush Set, the powder brush and the Expert Face Brush all of which I think are amazing. However, the one brush which stood out the most for me is the Buffing Brush it applies my foundation effortlessly leaving my skin looking flawless which is exactly what every girl wants from her make-up.

Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayon (Peach on the Beach) // I bought this lipstick the week after it had launched and it soon became my go to lip colour. I love the fact this isn't like a typical lipstick, its almost like a lipgloss but in solid form - it leaves my lips with a lovely shine and feeling super smooth. The colour is also absolutely gorgeous.
Alpha-H Clear Skin Blemish Control Gel // Throughout my teenage years I have suffered terribly with acne on my chin although I know this isn't half as bad as what some other teenagers have to go through, it really used to put me down until I discovered this product. I have always been a fan of Alpha-H Liquid Gold however, it is this product that has helped me tremendously. Although I still have slightly small pimples, I very rarely suffer from large, red breakouts and I truly couldn't recommend this product enough to those with either acne or frequent breakouts.

Pretty Perfect Nail Drying Spray // Like the Classics Nail Polish remover, this is another £1 shop find and it is once again amazing! As I frequently paint my nails, this stuff is comes in very handy and reduces the drying time immensely.

Urban Decay Naked 2 Palette // Last but not least in my favourite beauty products of 2013 is the infamous Naked 2 Palette by Urban Decay. I received this palette last Christmas and have used it almost every day since as I adore all of the colours. However, my favourite colour in the palette is 'Chopper' and I have unfortunately recently hit pan on this so may will be buying it in its single form as I love it so much.

So there you have it, my favourite beauty products of 2013, I wonder what goodies I'll be featuring in a post like this next year! I'd love to know what products you have been loving throughout the last year so leave your links below if you wrote a post like this or leave me a comment letting me know.

What I Got For Christmas 2014...

Christmas is without a doubt my favourite time of year, like most of you, I spent the majority of mine eating a lot, drinking a lot and spending time with my loved ones. I love to have a nose at the lovely presents other people received (as do many other bloggers) and have enjoyed reading many of these posts as well as watching many videos on YouTube so thought I myself would write one; I am in noway bragging about what I have received and am very grateful for having such a generous family and group of friends.
I absolutely love make-up and my family and friends are well aware of this. I received lots of great new pieces to try out as well as products I already love (hence the 3 Collection concealers!). One product I can't wait to try out is the Nars 'One Night Stand' palette, I asked for this from my parents but when I saw how quickly it had sold out I really wasn't expecting to be opening it on Christmas day. I will feature reviews on all of these lovely products throughout the course of this 2014.
Like make-up my family and friends are also aware of my love for Liz Earle beauty products. Some of you may be aware that during the month of August I did a whole weeks worth of blog posts dedicated to a different Liz Earle product each day so would love it if you went and had a read.
Like Liz Earle, Soap and Glory is another one of my skincare favourites; I received this case full of products from my parents.
I am a nail polish addict! Nail Polish is definitely my favourite beauty product I have tonnes of it but still love to buy and receive new ones to try. My nana bought me this Ciate Mini Mani Month but decided to keep it as a present rather than give it to me before Christmas as I had already bought myself the Benefit one.
My nana also bought me this Philip Kingsley duo - I have needed a new paddle brush for so long now but never got round to purchasing one and I can't wait to try this heat protection spray.
Marc Jacobs Daisy is my favourite fragrance; I believe no matter how many perfumes a person has or tries they always go back to one which ultimately becomes their signature fragrance and I believe this is mine. As well as receiving Daisy I also received this Ralph Lauren fragrance from my brother which I have been saying I liked for a long time so my brother gets bonus points for paying attention to what I say!
As well as receiving lots of lovely beauty products I also received quite a bit of new jewellery.
I got this beautiful Vivienne Westwood bracelet from my godparents to match the earrings they bought me for my 18th Birthday which you can see in this post.
I received this beautiful rose gold bracelet from my parents.
I love to burn candles during the winter months, it makes me feel so cosy. These Yankee Candle gift sets are amazing; they each contain 12 candles one set is catered to the sweet smelling candles (my fave) and the other 12 are homely scents. I don't care if the festive season is over, I'm still allowed to burn Christmas candles!
You'd think I was an octopus the amount of shoes I received; I don't actually own that many pairs of heels as I'm quite tall to start with but since starting to go on nights out, I've wanted a couple of new pairs for ages so absolutely loved these when I opened them on Christmas morning. I've also been after a pair of heeled boots for the winter months so again, I loved these and finally, who can go wrong with a pair of flats (or two)!
Since I turned 18 my parents say I'm never in the house so bought me this as a joke but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't looking forward to playing it with all of my friends.
My phone is always dying on me so was really happy to have received this portable charger which is perfect to keep in my bag. I also received some new earphones cause mine are always breaking and I love this memory stick.
I've been wanting a new camera for ages now but didn't want a really bulky one so this is perfect. I can't wait to try it out and hopefully finally turn my blog into what I want it to be.
Finally, I received this beautiful iPad Air and I am so in love. I can now see why everyone is investing in tablets, I'm literally never off mine whether I'm reading blogs, tweeting or browsing the shopping apps.

All in all, I am extremely grateful for everything I received and hope all of my followers had a wonderful Christmas and a fantastic New Year.
